The Southeast Bomb Task Force was established to track Eric J. Rudolph, the avid survivalist who planted the bomb in the Olympic Village of the 1996 Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia.  Rudolph was also responsible for several bombings at abortion clinics in Alabama.  Once the task force identified him, he fled into the unpopulated wilderness in North Carolina.  Intelligence reports indicated that he was a survivalist who could live for months in the woods without any outside assistance.  A team of experts was put together to attempt to track and arrest him, including a Mine and Cave Team.  Rudolph eluded capture for five years until he was spotted by a 21-year old rookie policeman breaking into a grocery store on May 31, 2003 and was arrested without incident.
